Today is International Literacy Day! Pre First read stories about dinosaurs. Their favorite was How To Catch A Dinosaur. Mrs. Hammons bought them dinosaur shaped chalk and they designed traps and drew pictures of dinosaurs on the side walk!
Today is a great day to celebrate the educational opportunities we have, and keep working towards creating opportunities for everyone to receive an education! Why are you grateful for your education? What has your education helped you accomplish?

This morning we had our first Leader in Me Assembly in almost 3 years!
Third grade presented the 7 Habits, then we congratulated our Students of the Month, Cherokee Students of the Month, Artists of the Month, and Teacher of the Month!
We ended it in style with a big dance party!
