There will be no after school extended care or Boys & Girls Club for preschool-8th grade tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon!
We will be having school, but there will be no after school. Please make other arrangements for your students.
See pictures below for food pantry information!
The food will be for 200 families, and the goal is to keep doing this every month, but if we don't meet the goal of 200 families, they will cut the amount of food for next month.
This week is Kindness Week!
We started off the week with an assembly led by Mrs. Alicia! She showed a video about how Kindness Week got started with just a few schools and how it has grown worldwide!
Each student will receive a checklist of kindness acts that they will try to complete throughout the week. The class with the most completed checklists will get a pizza party!

It was a beautiful day to be a paleontologist!
Mrs Brown’s class became paleontologists and broke open some dinosaur eggs to discover what dinosaur was inside. They had to find the name of the dinosaur discovered. They researched omnivore, herbivore, and carnivore types. They researched where the dinosaurs may have lived and how they traveled, walking, flying, swimming, or even crawling. The boys and girls had a lot of fun making the dinosaur discovery!
Mrs. Davis’ class competed in a STEM challenge today called Crest pasta mountain. Tallest mountain wins. It went along with their story of the week: Yonder Mountain, which is a Cherokee legend.
Winners of the challenge were Elijah, James, and Shada!

Today in Mrs. Brown’s class, after reading Officer Buckle and Gloria for their weekly story, Mr. Robert discussed safety tips with their class. He demonstrated what a fireman looks like in full uniform so the children knew not to be afraid if they see a fireman in uniform. We greatly appreciate Mr Robert for teaching us about safety and we are so thankful he is such a wonderful protector for us all!
